• Whereabouts -- The Stoclet Palace, is a private hall built by architect Josef Hoffmann 'twixt 1905 and 1911.  It is in Brussels, Belgium. It was made for banker and art lover Adolphe Stoclet.
  
  The sketches of Klimt 's work for the dining room can be found in the permanent collection of Museum für angewandte Kunst (MAK) in Vienna.  The Stoclet family, as of 2011, yet abides in the hall, therefore no visitin is brooked.

SIGNIFICANCE, FEATURES OF TREE OF LIFE BY GUSTAV KLIMT

Klimt's painting the Tree of Life depicts an important symbol in many cultures. The tree lives in the Heavens, the Earth, and the Underworld, and is a feminine and masculine symbol. Klimt's characteristic geometric figures contrast with the tree branches.

The painting also features the typical gold embellishments and intricate ornamentation of Klimt's other works. The figure on the left of the composition is titled, "Expectation" and the figure on the the right entitled, "Fulfillment."
