Signs Of The Zodiac Compatibility - Relationship Horoscope

Compatibility is not a simple matter to determine using astrology.

It takes 2 hours to add and subtract all the astrological, numerological, and Chinese elements of compatibility and come up with a score. I have developed a tested system that works for predicting compatibility.

In my 2-hour analysis, if the couple gets a score less than 40%, they are bound to separate.

It is what you call a "high maintenance relationship" and is not worth the trouble. If they have a score of 80%, then they are absolutely going to stay together for life.

Anything in between is a moderate maintenance relationship, and the higher the score up to 80, the more it is worth it to make the effort to stay together.

Above a score of 80, it is like heaven on earth for the couple, they are extremely compatible.

Following are some of the main considerations I use to obtain the couple's compatibility score:

1) Sign Compatibility Zodiac Signs

You get a few points for sign compatibility, but it is not that important. If it seems to be important, it really isn't, there is something else at work.

The more immature a person is, the more their Sun-sign compatibility matters. Immature people should not be considering serious relationships anyway, until they become mature.

By mature, I mean not ego-driven, but service-driven and love-driven.

The way you figure the compatibility by signs is by knowing the element. Same element is compatible. Opposite element is compatible, but not if it is the opposite sign:

• FIRE ELEMENT - Aries, Leo, Sagittarius. Compatible with FIRE or AIR element, but not with opposite sign.


• EARTH ELEMENT - Taurus, Virgo, Capricornus. Compatible with EARTH or WATER element, but not with opposite sign.


• AIR ELEMENT - Gemini, Libra, Aquarius. Compatible with AIR or FIRE element, but not with opposite sign.


• WATER ELEMENT - Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces. Compatible with WATER or EARTH element, but not with opposite sign.

These compatibilities have almost no power, very little power compared to the seventh house, the Sun/Moon relationship, the Mercury Method, and the Chinese astrology signs compatibility.

These are not all, but they are some of The Big Ones.

By the same token, the opposite signs are not compatible, but there is so much else to consider, that the incompatibility of the signs might not matter much.

Here are the opposite signs for you:

• Aries - Libra. This pair often gets together while young then separates. You have to look at the other factors.


• Taurus - Scorpio. This pair often stays together for life.


• Gemini - Sagittarius.


• Cancer - Capricorn. This works out better after they get older.
• Leo - Aquarius.


• Virgo - Pisces.

Rising Sign Compatibility

But what is more important than your sign compatibility is your rising sign compatibility. There are 3 sets of rules to determine this. You have to give points to all 3:

1. Max Heindel's Version:

• Fire and Air signs are all compatible with each other, including opposites.


• Earth and Water signs are all compatible with each other, including opposites.

2. Ivy Jacobson's Version:

After you know your horoscope,

• Signs on the cusps of houses that are trine, sextile, square, or opposite to the ascendant are all compatible.
  
  The conjunction is not incompatible, but it is not very arousing, either. Notice I said "signs on the cusps of the houses" and not "signs that are trine...etc.".
  
  A trine house, for example the 9th house, could have on its cusp a sign that is square or quincunx to the ascendant sign. Still Ivy's method considers that to be compatible.



• All other rising signs are incompatible. Same signs rising are not so much incompatible, as they are boring to each other. But other factors may compensate for this.

3. Using The Chinese Rules (Below) With The Western Signs:

In the section on Chinese astrology signs compatibility, below, I give you the correspondences between Chinese and Western signs, and the rules for determining whether or not they are compatible.

You simply apply this to the rising signs of the two people under consideration.

The Western rising sign is not the same as the Chinese ascendant, which is determined by Chinese energy calculations.

Chinese Astrology Signs Compatibility

Chinese astrology signs compatibility is very similar to signs compatibility in the preceding section.

In my opinion, the Chinese year of birth is one of the most important considerations in compatibility, more important than your birthday sign (time of the year).

The Chinese signs correspond to the Western signs as follows:

• Dragon - Aries
• Snake - Taurus
• Horse - Gemini
• Sheep or Goat - Cancer
• Monkey - Leo
• Rooster - Virgo
• Dog - Libra
• Boar or Pig - Scorpio
• Rat - Sagittarius
• Ox or Cow or Bull - Capricorn
• Tiger - Aquarius
• Rabbit - Pisces

Again it's partly like the Western system: Same elements are compatible. Opposite signs are incompatible. Here is the list:

• FIRE ELEMENT (in Western language) - Dragon, Monkey, Rat. Compatible with EACH OTHER.
• EARTH ELEMENT (in Western language) - Snake, Rooster, Ox. Compatible with EACH OTHER.
• AIR ELEMENT (in Western language) - Horse, Dog, Tiger. Compatible with EACH OTHER.
• WATER ELEMENT (in Western language) - Sheep, Boar, Rabbit. Compatible with EACH OTHER.

Here are the opposite signs, that are incompatible with each other:

• Dragon and Dog
• Snake and Boar
• Horse and Rat
• Sheep and Ox
• Monkey and Tiger
• Rooster and Rabbit

There is another pair of compatibilities you need to consider, if you want to do a complete job of it. You get these by drawing horizontal lines on the Western zodiac wheel.

• Dragon compatible with Rooster
• Snake compatible with Monkey
• Horse compatible with Sheep
• Rabbit compatible with Dog
• Tiger compatible with Boar
• Ox compatible with Rat

Similarly there are pairs of incompatible signs, which you can find by drawing vertical lines through the Western zodiac wheel:

• Dragon incompatible with Rabbit
• Snake incompatible with Tiger
• Horse incompatible with Ox
• Sheep incompatible with Rat
• Monkey incompatible with Boar
• Rooster incompatible with Dog

I developed a point system for use with the Chinese signs. 3 points for your year of birth, 2 points for your Chinese rising sign (time of day), and 1 point for your birthday sign, or Sun sign (time of year).
