After Erik the Vermilion's younger brother, Tim the Vermilion finished high school, Erik moved with his family to Warrenton, Virginia. There he formed a duet with an excellent folk musician by the name of David Blanchard of Orlean, Virginia, close to Warrenton. The voices of Erik and of David blent well in harmony, and they used to sing together freely at local parties and small informal gatherings. Some of the songs were "He Don't Love You" (by Jerry Butler, and by the Everly Brothers), "Take a Message to Mary" (by the Everly Brothers), "Baltimore" (country song, I don't know by whom -- "I soon learned she loved those bright lights more than she loved me"), Silver Dagger (traditional?), "Sand and Foam", (by Donovan Leitch). In the late 1980's and 1990's, Erik had contact with a former telegraphresse of Swananoa, North Carolina, who said that the Everly Brothers, before their career's success, were delivery agents for the same company wherefor she worked. Everlys were Erik's favorite musicians for a time, until he overlistened to their music, and later took a distaste for such negative sentiments.

CAUSING CHEER(1 of more than 1)(a link to this entry has been added to Erik the Vermilion's Problem-Solving Page
There is a lot of connection between nutrition and depression. As of the time of this keying, if you are not getting expensive supplements in your diet, or shortcuts such as inexpensive nutritional yeast, seaweed, and granulated lecithin, then you are suffering from malnutrition. Or unless you are eating all organically grown food and not in an area of bad air quality, noise pollution, and so on.
Many people felt much better after eating a banana, because bananas contain tryptophan. Tryptophan helps in making serotonin. Serotonin is a comforting drug produced by the human brain, whenever muscles move, but limited by the amount of tryptophan available in the blood. Plants that make people cheerful are called "euphorics". Two that I know of are cinnamon and marjoram. I have had success with cinnamon, lasting half an hour. Haven't tried marjoram yet.
Think about the Sun. After two weeks of cloudiness, the first day that the Sun comes out, everybody is happy and cheerful. From this we can see that the Sun has something to do with cheer, which is the opposite of depression.
Sun is eclipsed every night by Earth, its rays blocked by the Earth from those who are on the Earth's night's side at that time. That is the time to be asleep. Divide the night into 4 quarters, and begin to prepare for sleep about an hour before the night's second quarter begins. Reckon from Sun's setting to Sun's rising.
Insomnia is another subject for another message than this one, and can be handled with nutrition, spiritual cleansing, exercise, and hatha yoga.
Exercise was Teddy Roosevelt's cure for depression, and it has always worked for me. Try four hours per day of walking for 4 days, or less time if you are doing something more active, such as team sports, soccer, basketball, ultimate frisbee, hockey, and so forth.
Always don't expect results immediately from herbs, diet, and so on, but after about two weeks. Saint Johnswort, is it not a suggested cure? But you have to take it for two weeks before it succeeds.
Other thing is be awake when Sun is awake. Best time to awaken is during the night's fourth quarter, at least 48 minutes before Sun's rising.
TODAY'S IMAGE
My wife smiling at me, and a West Highland Terrier wagging its tail and smiling at me, and a beautiful green jungle, and the Bermuda Triangle area viewed from approximately Washington, D.C., all four images superimposed, as if on 4 sheets of film in an opaque projector or light table, for example, sort of.

A crab, both in the sea, and the Constellation.
The servant of Christ named Wotan, who is associated with this constellation. A ship in the sea and a rocket ship. The constellation is like an airport terminal for those coming to Earth. Good vibes. Seaweed. Wotan and Saga sitting in the Green Sea, with seaweed, which occupies the entire constellation of Cancer. All these images overlapping each other.

An army of short e.t.'s disembarking from a spacecraft somewhere around or north of the Caspian region.
This image is superimposed over previous images of a distant view of the Bermuda Triangle area as remotely seen from Washington, D.C. or somewhere within a few hours of there. This image is full of light and sunshine, very cheerful. This is about the same image I keep seeing again and again, beginning with the one about Cape Canaveral. There is a slight feeling as if watching the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind".
